Dr. Kevin Ju Hello Smile Dentist

Growing up in Southern California, Dr. Kevin Ju rarely saw a dentist as a child, but did spend many hours every day riding his tricycle around his neighborhood while licking a big lollipop. That unhealthy habit led to cavities, and many sleepless nights trying to endure the resulting mouth pain. Once he started high school, Dr. Ju felt the urge to become a dentist, a feeling that later returned when an old friend suggested that he enter the profession.

To confirm whether dentistry would be a good career choice, Dr. Ju decided to volunteer for six months at a local dental clinic for the poor, where he learned that his personality was well suited for dentistry because of its simultaneous demands for both precision and care. Soon thereafter, he was accepted into dental school at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), one of the most prestigious in the nation. Upon graduating from dental school in 2005, Dr. Ju completed an optional residency program a year later at Sepulveda Veterans Affairs in California, which exposed him to in-depth oral surgery techniques in extractions and dental implants.

Since those early days, Dr. Ju has gone on to serve others as a dentist for well over a decade now, including having his own practices for 8 of those years. He has also been associated with other dental practices in the area for many years, during which time he has continued to immerse himself, both formally and informally, in countless continuing education pursuits in the U.S. and abroad. Dental implants, orthodontics, and cosmetics are topics that are always on Dr. Ju’s “radar” as a dentist, and he even studies them while away from the office to stay current on the latest products and procedures. Dr. Ju has earned the esteemed Fellow status at the International Congress of Oral Implantology (FICOI). Dr. Ju uses his experience to serve communities in the Simi Valley, Chatsworth, Moor Park, Thousand Oaks, Conejo Valley, and San Fernando Valley areas.

As he matured as a dentist and as a person, he recognized that dentistry is not just a job but is a special gift given to him that includes the unique ability to visualize every minute detail of a patient’s teeth and smile. Dr. Ju greatly appreciates the fact that he has these skills to restore another human being’s dental health, their beautiful smile, and ultimately their self-esteem and dignity. This life-changing gift has led to many post-treatment hugs from happy patients who are in tears of joy when they look at their newly restored smile in the mirror.

Those ongoing positive patient experiences, along with some mission trips that he went on before dental school, have led Dr. Ju to consider passing along his gift of dentistry to the underserved, both in this country and abroad.

When away from his Simi Valley office, Dr. Ju enjoys spending time with his family, kids, and friends. You’ll also discover when you see him that Dr. Ju loves laughing and joking around!

Dr Nicolas Ng

I specialize in orthodontic treatment for kids and adults, and passionately care deeply about providing beautiful smiles for every patient.. Orthodontics has been an amazing journey thus far and I am loving every moment of it. The evolution of changing one’s smile can have a significant impact on one’s confidence, self-esteem, and opportunities in life. Being able to see the joy radiate from a beautiful smile that I help create provides me with immense satisfaction. Working with kids and brightening one’s future through a smile has been a tremendous privilege and I love serving my community in this fashion.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I attended the University of the Pacific for my undergraduate studies where I majored in Biology. I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. I then went on to Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics for my orthodontic residency. During my orthodontic residency, I won numerous awards for my research in Skeletal and Dental Classification and Relationship.

I am active in my community through volunteer and outreach programs and a member of multiple organizations:

• American Association of Orthodontists
• California Association of Orthodontists
• Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists
• American Dental Association
• California Dental Association

Aside from orthodontics, I remain a very family-oriented person. I love spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy exercising and staying active with any sport that I come across. Basketball is my main sport, but while attending school in Florida I learned how to surf, and recently I am engaging into golf. I love to hike and travel to explore as many cultures as I can.

I feel very privileged to serve my community through orthodontics and I look forward to providing the best care to my patients.
